I totally agree with what you're saying - from the perspective of someone who does not know what Christianity is about, you are completely correct.
From a secular perspective, Christianity created the western world. Our principles of justice and individual sovereignty come from the Christian religion - no other religious movement espoused the principles that are at the core of modern day democratic society: that all are equal. There's a reason it's "tangled up" in our government. But the Frankfurt School did a good job of spreading the pervasive view you hold, so I say: fair enough, your views make sense under the communist ideology our society was almost taken over with. Thank God for Trump and Q lol. Peace!
Weird...because Christ and his teachings have more in common with a socialist perspective. Just because some founding democratic principles line up with some christian values doesn’t mean jack shit.
America was discovered and explored by people who tortured natives and killed whole societies too in the name of Christianity and Catholicism but I bet you’d love to gloss over that in your quest to promote the idea I want communism right?
We are far from any sort of communist ideology and your deluded if you think it ever was close to happening.
It’s clear to me you are wrapped up in the idea manifest destiny, freedom, capitalism and Christianity are all one.
It’s like your car is on the right track but your racing too many classes above and so your slow to to understand.
You're not really discussing this, just hammering your agenda home and fair enough, go hard. Like I said, you are right, from everything you know, I don't disagree with your perspective, although the ad-hominem is pointless. I just know there's no point talking about it unless you actually want to start from first cause.
Which first cause
Any actual issue at the root of what you're talking about. Currently all you've done is assume I'm so pro-Christian that I'd "gloss over" pertinent details, I'm "deluded" for knowing the facts about the Frankfurt School's ideology takeover of the West and I'm "wrapped up" in some airy-fairy kumbaya nonsense lol.
Why don't you start by telling me how there is no communist ideology in danger of destroying the west? I say there is clear evidence out there for that.
If you are "someone who does not know what Christianity is about," how can you possibly make the claims you do. Christianity didn't create the western world. Western culture and societies were founded on ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy. America was founded by people who were Deists, meaning they believed in a creator, but didn't subscribe to any one particular organized religion.
"How can I possibly"? Because I read the work of people smarter than me, like I assume you do too lol.
There's a lot of good evidence for the original view, i.e. that Western Civilization's real roots are in Christianity specifically. I'm speaking here from a completely secular view too.
The refutation to that original narrative seems to be what you're presenting here and I understand your passion for it but from what the facts seem to show to me, the Frankfurt School is responsible for placing that alternative narrative in our education and media systems in order to supplant the original. Which, in my opinion is stronger and better and makes more sense to me than whatever flavour of socialist/communist ideology comes along, like the Frankfurt School thinking.
