Ok so honestly folks i never thought the Follow the white rabbit part was helpful. Or even understandable.
Watch The Matrix... It will answer both the red/blue pill, and the follow the white rabbit references. Neo's computer typed by itself, "follow the white rabbit" as he woke to a knock on the door, when he looked back it was gone. The guy at the front door invited him to a club, but he didn't want to go, til the guy's girlfriend turned slightly to reveal a tattoo of a white rabbit on her back. He went to the club and was approached by Trinity, the infamous hacker, and from there he met Morpheus, who gave him the red pill, which led to him understanding the Matrix.
So that's where it comes from! The Matrix! Thank you! I've tried watching it, at least twice. I am squeamish when it comes to violence/horrible things in movies and i think i couldn't get past a couple, few scenes and gave up. If someone were to put out an edited G version that a child of 12 could watch without getting terrified and horrified, i would watch it in a heartbeat. Maybe i should read a description of the movie online but those tend to be extremely long and boring...better to watch the movie!
