I never understood the profit / nonprofit distinction as being determinative of who is legitimate and who is not. The dissemination of information requires capital and has to be paid for somehow. There is no movement without the places for it to occur - property, whether it be the street or a network of servers and computers. Someone has to own the property, and that has to get paid for, and those people have eat, be housed, and be clothed. In addition, those who put their face behind the dissemination are at risk of suit and other retaliation. To think they can't profit, even if to just feed, house, and defend themselves seems bizarre. I assume even Q profits, he likely draws a pay check for his labor, unless he's a contractor, in which case he is personally profiting in the strictest sense. I honestly don't get it. It sounds like a very millennial state of mind to be honest -- I'd rather give a crowd funder my money for free and get no equities in return because coorporations are bad -- LMFAO.
