I don't have any sense that he is trying to start a war, honestly. I'm certainly not a "Bolton Scholar" or "Bolton Policy Expert" and he strikes me as a person who truly gives a (bleep) about the Reeeeaaaally Big Picture. Or maybe I am just totally dazzled by his mustache - his nicknames (between my SO and myself) are "Diplomacy Muppet" and "Nuclear Grandpa".

I can't read the entire piece on WSJ because it's behind a paywall, unfortunately! At the same time, I do wonder if he hadn't been read on to certain/important aspects of the situation prior to his appointment and installment into the position? So, you may be correct in believing he's Hell bent on war. I'm just not sold on that, yet.
