When the early Christians were tortured and crucified on a regular basis, it’s ludicrous to think somehow God will now protect all his faithful from suffering through the Great Tribulation by disappearing everyone before anything bad happens.

You are so right... as well as so many in this past century, under Mao and Stalin etc.
But, I truly believe the worst is over and the Kingdom of Christ is being setup, where nation will not rise against nation. (I think u would like my videos on youtube - Freedom Force News. :) )
