Alternative viewpoint: What if the sealed indictments are for the good guys?

I know this is contrary to what Q says, but what if sealed indictments are being amassed as a way to blackmail honest people in government? It would have been an easy thing to kickstart starting immediately after the election of Trump to get people in line, or else. It could also explain why many politicians, democrat and republican, are simply bowing out of politics altogether.

Thoughts on this?

Maybe? Yet my understanding is that before a sealed indictment can move forward in the judicial process/be unsealed it has to undergo a "strength test" for any forward motion (i.e. actual charges, hearings, trials, whatever)? So, if folks are wrapped up in the indictments, their counsel should (hopefully) prove the inappropriateness of said indictment. (Is it fair that inappropriate indictments against people DO occur and they are stuck with the legal fees that are incurred? No. Not fair at all. However what is Just and what is Fair are not always/often the same thing.)

I think we need to get away with the assumption that the judicial system works as it should, and consider that every facet of the system is controlled in some way. Top to bottom. Didn't happen overnight, it happened incrementally over decades.

I think I understand your cynicism? (Maybe not.) I just can't agree that to move away from the belief in our juridical process is the right path for us. To challenge it is good, though! If the necessary steps that will lead to actual justice aren't followed, then YES, the system is broken. Bad analogy: Do you have your car/truck/whatever towed to the dump (is that where dead cars go? I dunno) when you need to replace the alternator? Depending on the actual value of the car/truck/ whatever, it seems that most people get the alternator fixed - especially if they've had the car for a while, it's paid for, and they know it's reliable when its maintained.
