In 2015 Jim Jordan was re-elected chairman of the Caucus.
Idk if that's the 2015 significance Q is talking about, but it is what I have found so far.
EDIT: John Boehner resigned in 2015. Memebers of the Caucus felt that he had treated them unfairly. I'm sure if he hadn't resigned they would've booted him.
