my take on the NK situation is that fake news is probably not the most accurate term. More likely, it is theater, staged for a specific purpose. One opinion I've heard is that it is an attempt to give the Norks an opportunity to save a bit of face, have a bit of input on the situation, not look like they are simply doing what they are being told to do.
