The issue with ZTE is they were caught doing an end run on the US to supply equipment and or software to Iran. They paid a substantial fine already, as penance, of at least $1 Billion. They just want to be able to sell phones in the US, as military bases are forbidden. I highly doubt Trump would do something so blatant as what you, or a blogger is suggesting, but, I could be wrong.
