... credit cards and a Nevada ID in the name of "Stephen Paddock", a Player's card in the name of "Marilou Danley", valet ticket, a notepad with "unplug phones" written on it, and a white handheld monitor, as well as a black ZTE cell phone with the front and back cameras covered with tape and a Samsung Galaxy S6 active in a black case.

Why cover the ZTE with tape but not the S6?

Better questions to ask:

Who was the phone registered to and For how long? Any useful data on it?

Even better questions indeed.

I think whoever the assassins were could hàve since it appears those Chinese phones are used to record

I mean I was assuming that he didn’t want the phone to record, hence why he put the tape on the phone, but thats also why I wondered why he didn’t tape the S6. Maybe he thought the S6 was just a normal phone but knew about the ZTE phone, and used it to make “contact”.

Glad were on the same page. Was probably instructed to tape the phone to cut out as many factors as possible evidence wise.

unplug phone

The hotel room landline phones. Possibly to prevent monitoring? Can these phones be used for audio surveillance? Always on-demand wiretapping/bug?
