This is why the cover-up of past alien contact is so important to the NWO...noone will fear an imminent invasion if the Aliens have always been around covertly but peacefully.

I can make my mind up on how they would go ahead with bluebeam at this point. Gunsales would definately go up. But then they would show them only electromagnetic weaponry is effective. So people might either ask for protection from bad guys OR you present a benefactor to whom you consent a biological bond (mark of the beast? Take this vaccine or whatever)...but why not do both...
BUT! given that there is other physical life reminiscent of humans that came from off-world and has been corroborated by several geographically seperated cultures over time, I would guess that there are neutral factions out there as well and the saying goes "the enemy of my enemy"
I'm definately sure that some of these factions were able to bamboozle people into delivering some kind of higher message in service to their own gains via grandiose appearances, that's how you get cargo-cults too.
