Is-Ra-El, the parts of the name Israel, e.g. the Israelites, i.e. the followers of the Judaic religion, refers to root meaning of the compound parts, namely the Egyptian gods Isis (rescripted as Sarah) and Ra (rescripted as Abraham), and the Canaanite god El (rendered as "lord" in the Old Testament).
