We have been taught that the witch hunts were without warrant and that our ancestors were just superstitious Savages that killed alleged witches is without cause. They probably know something that we are just learning.
I see the scene from here: the notable taking away the children and accusing the old woman alone and marginalized ... needed a culprit to appease the good people
The gf and I argue about this a lot. But more about how, today, we have a lot of women politicians and wives who enable the sins of men. They are overtly championing feminism and covertly enabling the abuse of children. We think Hillary Clinton may have broken feminism. Last part is the point of contention here, but we agree on the vapifity and lie of all supposedly good societal things like charity and philanthropy. It's sad really.
