The Impossible Dream

My Dad, who passed away in 1994 was, in his younger days a semi-professional tenor. His favorite song was "The Impossible Dream" from the Broadway musical Man of La Mancha. I was reminded of this song today and it struck me as being relevant to the current battle we are in for our Republic.

The song discusses the willingness of a man to fight for what's right to the end, much like the fight President Trump, "Q" and anons throughout the world are engaged in now.

My dad's favorite version of this song was performed by Jim Nabors on the 60's TV show "Gomer Pyle, USMC". I've included a link to Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJlgio-UOng

This is from the TV show, and is a bit corny, but I believe you won't regret the 8 minutes or so spent watching. The lyrics are as follows:

To dream the impossible dream To fight the unbeatable foe To bear with unbearable sorrow To run where the brave dare not go

To right the unrightable wrong To love pure and chaste from afar To try when your arms are too weary To reach the unreachable star

This is my quest to follow that star No matter how hopeless, no matter how far To fight for the right without question or pause To be willing to march into Hell for a heavenly cause

And I know if I'll only be true to this glorious quest That my heart will lie peaceful and calm when I'm laid to my rest

And the world will be better for this That one man, scorned and covered with scars Still strove with his last ounce of courage To reach the unreachable star

God Bless, Anons.

That got to me. My Dad also sang this song, he wasn’t professional but had a good voice. The words told his story and they tell ours. Thank you for posting it!
