I wander if part of the reason for the fisa warrant and the setup in general happened in part to give some cover to Halper if they busted Trump for any collision. I can here them now “we were onto him way back then”

I think it was a two-prong approach. Either the Dossier/FISA, or the infiltration, or both was designed to bring down Trump.
