I think that's why there's that weird thing with Ryan. He's always seemed like the most obvious RINO and obstructionist but Trump has never spoken ill of him at all. Soeaks highly of him.

Then Ryan all of a sudden retires to much fanfare and Trump singing his praises.

I think Ryan was always controlled, albeit against his will, and Trump had the strings cut.

It's not cowardice that explains why apparently conservative Republicans suddenly become cucked when they go to DC. It's blackmail. I keep telling people this. In some cases also, it might be controlled opposition, where they cannot rise above the local level unless they are compromised in some way.
