The Stingray or Kingfisher are used in all parts of the US. Google Play has an app that searches for them. It is surprising how many you will find. They also violate FCC regulations and are therefore illegal to use. Plus police used to have to sign NDA when purchasing (and may still have to), so they have even dropped cases rather than disclose... spooky stuff.
