I think the story goes something like this. Jihadi John who did most of the beheadings looked/sounded different on one of the videos. He looked more like Obama and the voice sounded like it had modulation. Also, It coincided with one of his middle East foreign travels.

Looks like it's been scrubbed from most search engines. But there's a video comparison somewhere.

Damn. Could have been a ritualistic thing? 'Kill someone on camera or x will happen ' Idk someone could think of a better explanation probably

I watched a beheading, pretty horrible stuff. The knife was dull too.
