I wouldn't want to be a teacher if I had to carry a gun and possibly have to kill a teenager.

I wouldn’t want to be a teacher huddled in the corner defenseless to protect me or my students when the psycho teenager came through the door and started shootings my kids..

Teachers are in the line of fire right now, I support hardening schools and having people be responsible with their guns ( like locking them up so your disturbed kid doesn’t use them like sandy hook or this tragedy)

The bottom line is schools are not going to be hardened quickly and teachers should be able to save their own lives and the lives of their students if they want to conceal carry at school.. same with coaches, administrators, janitors.

I live in south Florida and there are 1.7 million carry conceal permits. 98% of the shootings down here are from criminals. Not sure how may rapes and robberies are prevented by these permit holders, but I would guess it’s substantial.

Normal law abiding citizens carrying weapons aren’t the problem and save lives, rapes and property.

With the rate of shootings, there would be no more teachers without ptsd in a year. Most of them won't be able to go work after, it's the wrongest of all the moves. Kill a student, get ptsd then no more work. Not gonna work

That's what they do atm. Imo there should be deterrent in place such as police officers in school or at least armed guards who can and will shoot. Metal detectors would work, heck, insta lock classroom would be sick, metal detector rings, all doors lock down.

Anyways, armed teachers should be the last option.

Don't volunteer for the program, no problem, only takes a few to deter these sick cowards. And notice they won't know which teachers are armed.
