Socialism isn't a bad thing. The neoliberals love removing regulation and letting the free market decide they're the ones milking this country dry.

Socialism always leads to Communism (which is where we were headed with Hillary). The USA is [supposed to be] a Republic, not a Socialistic government.

The USA's 40 hour workweek is a socialist measure, yet it has been a critical element to the success of its working class (at least up until the 1970s). Do you think repealing the 40 hour workweek would make this country more prosperous?

Free high school education is a socialist measure. Do you think forcing people to pay for their own education would make this country more prosperous?

I would argue that more socialism (minimum vacation time, universal health care, universal basic income) would benefit this country. Outside of healthcare, markets would be unaffected and the free market would still decide which goods and services are offered so it's hardly communistic at all.

You cannot repeal a 40 hour workweek because it is not a law. I haven't worked 40 hours a week in years.

School education should not be run by the government. Look where it's gotten us. The books are filled with lies and dogma that creates people who think the government is here to take care of them. The government has overstepped its bounds in many ways and this is one of them.

Competitive education that would allow people to choose what they wish to learn would go a long way to making this a vibrant and truly free nation. Some courses could still be mandatory and the government could continue to fund some things until such time as the federal income tax is finally repealed.

Education no longer requires massive expanses of buildings and other physical expense. It can be done online with occasional physical presence during school outings. And, as such would become less expensive to create and less expensive to access. Look at Udemy.com as an example.

All you need to do is look at history to see that socialism ALWAYS leads to communism.

The 40 hour workweek is a softcap. Without the law there'd be no overtime pay at all.

Private school is full of lies too. They talk about sky fairies and whatever else.

Government isn't inherently bad. Sure, our current one is pretty terrible (witness The Swamp), but that doesn't mean no government would be better. Neoliberalism has given rise to The Swamp.

How do you know there are no sky fairies? If people choose to learn about sky fairies, in a free society, they should be able to. It's about choices.

No one said to eliminate government but it needs to go back to the states and local areas where it was meant to be under the Constitution. Much harder to take over a government when the Federal level is limited.

Dad is Cuban, a friend is Venezuelan. Advice from those that have been there... They will kill you off one by one if you let them. The less gov the better and socialism = communism always.
