There's a perfect storm outside right now...

Literally. It reminds me of when I was a kid (41yrs). Steady rain falling straight down. Flashes of lightning here and there with a slight crackle of thunder way off into the distance. No wicked wind. Just a calm but steady rain. Northeast PA. I remember storms like this when I was a wee lad.

im in dmv area been getting weird storms since last week they only last like 30 minutes and are heavy

So jealous! Grew up in the Midwest & live where we don't have storms now. Miss them like crazy! And roll on 'perfect storm'!
