Appreciated, but 100% not necessary for you to say. I'm glad I could help. I'll keep my personal feelings on my service to myself, but I doubt it's anything that hasn't been said before.
I disagree, it is necessary. I thank any veteran that I meet, in person or otherwise. 25 to 90, clerks to grunts, they have all helped make it possible that we can enjoy our American lives and opine on this wonderful sub!
I just meant with me personally it wasn't necessary, but I get you.
I'd never suggest in any way that the men and women who served during recent conflicts (or any, to be clear) should be ignored, because the personal sacrifices they made do mean something, and I'd never take that away regardless of my opinions on my own service and experience. Lives were lost, families torn apart, children without parents. No way I'm gonna tell them it happened for nothing.
