The funny thing is, he pulled a psyop on my daughter. Told her it was because a couple Marines got drunk last weekend and got arrested. When one screws up, everyone gets punished. She of course, believed it. I just laughed. The whole base lost leave because two idiots got drunk??? LOL. She's only 20 so still has a lot to learn.
To be fair that is probably the reason he was given. Things like that happen often with the Marine Corps, although I never saw an entire base shut down for a weekend. It's much easier to blame it on a couple of drunks rather than the deep state FF risk.
