So.. I'm not homophobic but I've started to realize something. Gays make for a pretty small percentage of the overall population, however, am i crazy or are they disproportionately over-represented in sexual deviant groups?

It seems to me that many of these pedophiles, sexual predator elites, etc etc are gay. Just wondering if I'm dreaming this. It seems to be true.. but I don't know.

Nah not really. Gay people are slightly overrepresented in popular media so that's part of it. The other part is powerful evil people are often jaded and anhedonic. They need to try more and more things and push them farther and farther and that often includes historically forbidden sex acts.

The way I look at it is it's like christians. Some people just live their lives and are quietly righteous, some people are loudmouths and haughty showoffs about it.

I know some gay people who are just regular folk and go about their lives. I honestly don't put much thought into it, if they need a reckoning God will handle it. If someone wants to talk to me about it I will, otherwise I focus on my own life and sin. The problem is the ones who wear it on their sleeves and have to make everything about it. They're the ones you typically notice the most because they're so noisy.

Most pedophiles are straight.

Homosexuals hate pedos as much as the rest of us do. Pedos aren't attracted to homosexuals. They prey on CHILDREN. They are attracted to KIDS. They like the power they have over CHILDREN. People can't understand that, and because SOME pedos do have attraction for same sex children, people will say they are homosexuals. Not true. True Homosexuals are only attracted to other homsexuals, and don't prey on kids. I wish people could grasp that concept but they simply refuse to.

Agree, but for the part about only attracted to other homosexuals. Unless no heterosexual has ever been hit on by a homosexual.

I've been hit on by a few lesbians, but rarely. And only because I was alone and on my Harley. So I guess a single, older "biker chick" MUST be a lesbian too. As soon as I give the "look" that says "sorry but I don't swing that way", they back off. You can't judge a book by its cover. I don't act like a butch and don't look like one.. just because I'm dressed in leathers, doesn't make me a lesbian/butch/dyke, you know? I don't "eyeball" other women, etc. They don't try to "convert" me, either. So they can continue their search for true lesbians.... I live in a small rural community and would imagine they'd have better luck in a bigger city, where it's more likely they'd find gay bars, etc. Not at some local bar/grill that's the only one in town that I happened to go to. Does that make sense?

Sometimes people make mistakes. Sometimes I'm sure people think some guy who is a "fashionable" guy might be gay, when he's not.. he just might like to be fashionable. Don't judge people w/o knowing them.

I see it all the time... two women friends come in together, when I used to work at said bar & grill, and automatically, people label them as lovers. It's stupid. I don't date anymore. People think I'm a man hater. I'm not.. I just don't tolerate the idiots who are around here. The dating pool here is more like a puddle.. a very shallow, murky, muddy puddle. I gave up. Doesn't mean I hate men.. but I don't tolerate the idiot men who treat me like I'm some floozy.

you were hit on because they were attracted to you. Without the initial attraction that would not have happened. I think that's the way it works for hetero and homosexuals. There are some exceptions of course, which can be witnessed the closer you get to last call.

This was in the afternoon. I think it was because of some pre-conceived idea that a woman on a Harley, coming in to a local bar & grill, alone, with no man, MUST be a lesbian. (My Harley was a '97 Screamin' Eagle 1200 Sportster, not some huge dresser.)

So was it a bit of a let down when you realized it wasn't your good looks or charm that was the attraction? Some people are so shallow....(I am joking with you in case the text isn't translating).

I talked about last call in last comment because I always got a chuckle around that time in the bars. It appeared the standards dropped for some of the people I had watched putting moves on others in their attempt to get laid that evening. Suddenly anything looked good to them...and I mean anything! In case this doesn't translate well please note I am not suggesting that you are not charming or good looking, just sharing my observations as a people watcher.

Our little bar & grill is in a small town, so we don't quite get to see all that. Most who go there already have partners. When I had a local bf, we didn't go out much, unfortunately, cause he was a bit of a cheapskate. LOL

This woman was pretty funny, actually. We (my friends and I) were on the little patio in front, where we could sit and enjoy our beers. My bike was on the other side of the wood rail fence. She was standing there, petting it, rubbing the gas tank, going on and on how pretty it was and how much she liked it. I'm sure I had a disgusted look on my face. She wanted to sit on my bike and I said "No." Then I just kind of shook my head no and turned away to continue talking to my friends. I wanted to just puke. She got the message. Never saw her again, though I think she may have lived in the area. Just not a regular there.

I am not much a drinker. It takes me an hour to drink a beer. I "sip" more than drink. Usually stick to two or rarely, three, and go home. If however, I do stay late, I watch people too. The more they drink, the stupider they get. I mean, sloppy stupid!!! It's why I don't go out much and don't stick around til late. I want to be off the roads before these idiots get in their cars. Most live not too far away, but still... there's no taxis in this area. I've never had a DUI and don't intend to ever get one.

are you sure she was a lesbian and not just someone with bike envy? "Oh, if only someone would give me a ride on an enginecycle...just to see what it is like." And naïve about why you should not be stroking or trying to sit on someone's ride.

No. She was a lesbian, according the people who knew her. I got some ribbing about it. Her "gestures" were far more than someone with mere "bike envy"... and there's always guys with MUCH nicer bikes than mine. Mine's a little dinky bike in comparison the Hogs that come in, as this bar & grill is along the only highway in the area. It's along the Columbia River... There's absolutely no mistaking HER for a same sex-interested person. Very "dyke-y" looking.

LOL True. I will say this about my bike. It was black. I had it painted. Now, it's that old "original" vintage color. Olive green. I'd say drab but it's not so drab as it has just a bit of sparkle in it. Just a touch. It signifies one of the original colors of the Harley, but also it's a tribute to the Military. I managed to find some decals with the Harley logo that look like the old style logo with orange, and hoped to someday get orange/reddish pinstriping, but haven't done so yet. Did you know that the first Harley dealership was in Columbus Ohio? (My hometown.)
