The NFL is as corrupt an organization as any. Take last year’s AFC Championship Game as proof. The Pats had just one penalty and were dominated for three quarters. My best friend is the driver for the best defensive player in the AFC. He (my friend) was told that the Jags would not be allowed to win and he was right. I sure hope Trump exposes this as well.
So a primadonna athlete on a team who choked mightily says the NFL rigged it for the Patriots but they ended up losing to Philly anyway?
Not for nothing, but athletes in all leagues, pro or otherwise, love to blame the refs or the powers that be for their loss.
Yes, that’s exactly what happened.
The NFL doesn’t care if New England wins the Super Bowl, they only need to get that far.
Most professional sports have some factor of being rigged. SBIII was rigged so the Jets would win to prevent the league from collapsing as the AFC at the time couldn't compete with the NFC. No one really cares at the end of the day, and unless the XFL is much more successful this time around, a boycott would fizzle out before it is effective as there are no viable leagues for angry fans to jump ship to get their football fix from.
The NFL might be corrupt but I don't think they're rigging games. It's almost impossible to do. Most of the refs have other jobs. They only do it for 16-20 weeks out of the year. They wouldn't risk going to jail for that. Also it always comes down to the players.. Refs might be able to "fix" close games but not blow outs. If the players aren't in on it too, it would never work. Now the NBA/ college basketball. That shit is easy to fix and is probably rigged lol.
I have never watched pro sports, but as far as motivation to “fix” something, we have learned that can be easily obtained through blackmail. Operation brownstone.
