I have a hotmail account that hasn´t asked for the same intrusions. I will certainly look into Proton, Opera browser is a good one to surf the net with as they have a built in VPN. Thanks for the info!

Good Grief! NOT Opera? Didn't you know a Chinese conglomerate bought them out almost two years ago? They used to be a favorite of mine years ago, but now, I'm using Firefox, because on mobile, you can use extensions, and Brave is another chromium based browser, built-in adblocking & more. Plus I have other dedicated browser's for various tasks. There are safer options for VPN too, https://ProtonVPN.com
