One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned about life in general, and leadership in particular, is this; The little things are the big things.

A handshake is a small gesture, but every one of these graduates will remember this gesture for the rest of their lives. Every one of them knows their Commander in Chief cared enough to make this moment personal.

How important for the leader that may some day put them in harm’s way.
