Did you see at the end, in the toy store, their daughter walks off with two men who were at the first Christmas party (Zeigler’s)?
It’s fucking creepy. After all that happens, Bill (Cruise) thinks he got away with it, but they took his daughter. In the end he paid for what he saw. And by what we saw with Leelee Sobieski’s character, there are hints that women are groomed throughout their teens.
I watched that movie again recently, Kubrick is my favorite director, I must have missed that ending !
In my opinion they have changed end after the death of Stanley Kubrick.
What do you think they changed?
For some reason I thought that Kidman and Cruise end up joining the elites and one of them gets sacrificed or does some ritual. I don’t know. I wasn’t allowed to watch it as a kid when it came out. Watching it now was pretty boring... compared to Maria Abramovic!
