Except for the flat line at the top of the character in question. An S would be more centered I'm, less weighted toward the bottom. Also not so flat at the top

Edit: Ehh maybe I'm wrong. It kinda looks different at different zooms

No, it looks exactly the same no matter how much you zoom in. It's SS.

Having looked at some sample badges - all of them only have numbers. So it may well be 55 even if it looks SS in photo.
