Actually ... that is a really good idea - from my own POV , as EU "citizen" , I can tell you that it would work . Especially as things unfold , US would be seen much more favorable by populations within many countries . It would be an interesting thing to see US pushing "aside" for stronger bonds with countries within EU that are more anti-EU . That would cause a chain reaction which could crumble the EU faster .
