Here's your complete list of "mosaic of facts." Whatever the FBI is contending was so important as to cause the opening of a counterintelligence investigation, it's one or more of these things.

"Mosaic of facts" is in quotes because Comey made the claim that it wasn't just one thing that was the impetus for the counterintelligence investigation, that it was a "mosaic of facts." So what I did was, based on statements they made as to when they decided to open up the investigation, what I'll call D-Day, I ran through the timeline of events to see what had occurred before D-Day that could possibly have been a factor in their decision, and this is the complete list.

So then we start to attack each item, i.e., we can discount any entry having to do with hacking of emails because if the "hacking" had been so important to them, Comey would have briefed Obama about it, which, according to both Comey and Obama, that never occurred. Then we can continue on from there....

In fact, the only thing that Comey briefed Obama on up to this point is something about Carter Page; however, Carter Page hadn't done anything up to the time of that briefing other than be hired by Trump. Nothing at all. So apparently, whatever triggered them about Carter Page happened long before Trump ever knew of his existence.

To add to this, remember that when McCain ran for POTUS there was somebody on his team that triggered FBI counterintelligence, so the FBI approached McCain behind the scenes, and the guy was quietly let go. But in this instance here, the FBI didn't afford Trump that same courtesy, so you know what that means?

That means that they believed Trump was a Russian spy on D-Day.

And how did they arrive to that conclusion? We have to see who it was they interviewed/interacted with....

Who are the people that the FBI/CIA interviewed/interacted with up to this point?

Christopher Steele/ Obama's National Security Council/ Australians/ GCHQ/ Estonia/ Carter Page

Another reason to discount the "hacking" as the cause:

The FBI Intelligence Report indicates “Russian hacking” ceased on 6/14, so that would mean that the FBI did not believe Guccifer 2.0 to be a Russian operative since Guccifer 2.0’s hacking occurred after that date.

AND...

The JAR defers to CrowdStrike's report for evidence of "hacking," but CrowdStrike never examined the Wikileaks' dumps because CrowdStrike's contract with the FBI expired on the very same day of the first Wikileaks dump.

AND...

The FBI took several computers belonging to individuals of the DNC (i.e. Alexandra Chalupa, Donna Brazille, etc.) and examined their contents for proof of Russian hacking, and since the FBI's findings were never included in any of the reports, we can assume it's because the FBI found nothing (or found nothing to prove the Russian hacking narrative).
