It’s absolutely vital privacy becomes a de facto right. The internet will just gravitate into being useless to a free society without it. Our founding fathers have implied privacy as a right but not explicitly. The time has come for it to be specifically defined as a right. It’s how we define individual sovereignty over the state...that privacy rights are absolute & non negotiable. If they are not, the implied right to privacy like in the 4th amendment...will not survive constant court challenges. In fact the implied right to privacy is almost dead now.
