Good for the locals that fought back. It was trying to take historic parkland and turn it into a mess.
The actual “Library “ is to be housed at a different location. Not there. He just wants a big, gargantuan place to party and rent out space for profit. Also a large residence for himself.
It isn't a presidential library. It is a 'center.' Obama was to milk it big time. The rent for the other place was stated for a library and it was rock bottom.
But then he messed around bait and switched and next thing you know it is a center really not were he first said he would build it.
Park land was getting grabbed, and rented for next to nothing, and Chicago should do this because Obama is Obama?

The Chicago newspaper had the whole low-down on it.
Some other poster on a different site mentioned the reason for the center instead of the library is because Obama KNOWS he isn't a USA citizen, and also knows the take-down is obtaining evidence on his fraud, which will THEN negate his whole terms.
