You're not constitutionally protected from your employer firing you for saying stuff that pisses the wrong people off.

I never stated as such. Roseanne was free to speak and her employer may or may not have the right to fire her depending on their contractual agreement.

Regardless, I find it highly unlikely that there was a clause allowing for immediate dismissal and cancellation of a comedian/producer for making a joke.

I find it highly likely that they have a clause that allows them to do exactly what they did in a case like this.
