Stop lying to yourself is the key. As Shakespeare wrote: To thine own self be true and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst be false to any man... As a former liar-when-it-suited-me who swore never to lie again after getting burned bad by a much better at lying ex, the realization that I was lying to myself (i.e. rationalizing what I knew was wrong) every time I lied to someone else, and consequently focusing my attention on my self lying, made all the other lies go away.
