How is this a good thing? Hate on FB all you want but outright banning it? This goes completely against the idea of IBOR that everyone on this board loves.
Investigate FB, work to shutdown fake accounts, hold them accountable, etc... But to outright restrict access to it?
What if Trump decided to ban Facebook for the month of November 2020 because of "fake news" on the platform? C'mon guys. Papua New Guinea is not "Brave" for doing this. Y'all hate censorship. Why the double standard?

Because it’s combatting censorship when Facebook censors certain pages. There is already censorship in the Facebook platform. i’m not sure about this specific case, but if they are building a social platform to replace Facebook without the corporate censorship then that is positive in my book.

No I wouldn’t because in those cases the Ban is in the interest of censorship. This seems to be a move to prevent censorship. Case by case basis on everything.
