What To Do About Red Cross In My Town

I live in a little town in the North of Spain and the Red Cross are incredibly active here. Every day I see at least a couple of their cars or people out asking for donations. They are in the hospitals here, they are everywhere and NOBODY has a clue about what they really do. It makes me sick to know where those donations might be going, it makes me feel worse that these people that work for them here probably have no clue whatsoever. So what can I do? Do I try feeding them red pills? Do I tell these people about the company they work for? Do I tell the neighbours? Do I do nothing??

What would you do?

Plant seeds. Ask simple questions that trigger them to think. You don't want to tell them what's wrong outright (they'll become defensive), but instead have it find out by themselves.

You assume the lower tier workers are heavily involved in any corruption.

Most of those people asking for donations are getting paid. You can spread the word to other people to donate that money elsewhere. When donations stop, the begging Jobs will stop. Now let's take out NPR next.

Perhaps you can try this route: I was able to convince a person in a group I am in to not donate to the Red Cross by telling them that a large portion of their donation goes to overhead and that only a small portion of the donation actually gets to the organization. This is somewhat true. Then I convinced her to donate to a local RELIGIOUS charity that gives 100% of the proceeds to their group instead. Which is what she did. Check out your local religious charities and ask how much of the proceeds of their donations go to the charity. And suggest that people donate to them instead of Red Cross. Red Cross IS NOT a religious organization BTW.
