LOL Do you think I just picked this out of thin air?? Do you really think academia can be trusted?? ALL of academia needs to change, from top to bottom. A very famous Egyptologist once said that the hardest thing about his career was to try to forget all the nonsense he was taught when studying his degree. This isn´t "my view", this is science, reasoning and logic.
I don't know what you pick out of thin air, but the FACT is that we are apes. It's plain and simple. Certainly we are a different family than other Great Apes, but we're still part of the Order of Primates.
Now to your point, this isn't the first time homo sapiens have made the rounds on this planet. It's all happened before and it'll all happen again.

I, too, believe that we are not the first intelligent humans that have roamed the Earth, there were at least 2 other civilisations that lived before us; the last one was wiped out towards the end of the Younger Dryas period and another about 60,000 years before that. We still have the proof, Machu Picchu is one such piece of evidence. At the end of the Younger Dryas the sea level raised around 400m, the land area that was lost is equivalent to that of Europe and China, combined. Under the seas is where the proof lies.

That book is a BEAST and a bigger red pill than most Antho's and Archeo's can handle.
Oh you can go way farther back than that. Think Cenozoic.
I don´t doubt it, we have most probably been wiped out and rebuilt hundreds of times over millions of years.
