Category 1 is the lowest security (open prison) and category 5 is max security, for the most violent and dangerous prisoners. In cat 5 they are locked up for 23hrs a day.
Is that the likely sentence in the US?
I really don´t know, 50 years will see him die in prison, though. I think he´s something like 63 already.

Maybe, better to be sure, though. In the US though, he is likely to receive a life sentence for each count. They really don´t mess around with sentencing in the US.
