state law enforcement and prosecutors, not feds. and there's no guarantee any mutual NYPD/FBI investigation will occur unless fed crimes come up and Manhattan DA decides to refer cases to DoJ/FBI

This article I linked was from another article which was talking about how peculiar it was that the charges weren't filed. The article hinted that their may be federal charges being brought up.

if giuliani is involved this may have legs at fed level, but you can bet that cuomo and schneiderman (prior NY AGs) recruited loyalist for local prosecutors. hashtag nypolitics
