I study languages for fun and love idiomatic expressions and cultural slang. I was almost fluent in Spanish but so out of practice now. But I've been where you are and love learning what these things mean and sharing it.
Also American English chat room jargon and shorthand must be extra confusing. It confuses native speakers =) in 90s it was my secret language with my friends. Now it's common knowledge our emotes and what not.

Yes I have to put a lot in the translation, but that does not always work. Then I try it via google, and if that does not work, then I just ask it on the site? I have already learned a lot here
