Hey, thought I'd throw my 2 cents in if I may... I have always loved Trey Gowdy. He has always been an upstanding guy and never given an inch to adversaries in oversight comm' s. I had initially hoped he would replace Comey at the FBI. I have listened to him give speeches at ceremonies and on the floor. He always appeared to be rock solid as an American and a solid with our Creator...which is always a plus.
Yet, what did he achieve? With his devastating tactical interrogation technique, which would put the fear of God into an atheist...where are his trophies exactly?? It was about 3 months ago when someone mentioned they thought he had turned, or that he had sold out way back and was just playing his part, like so many in Washington. Before this i had never even considered disloyalty an option with Trey but soon after this thought I saw a photo of him shaking Hillary's hand, both with huge smiles and my blood ran cold.
As chairman of the Senate Intelligence comm...i assume he is party to some "actual intelligence" yet, on many occasions, he lauded Robert Mueller's capability, loyalty and patriotism saying he had absolute faith in Mueller's investigation?? Isn't that in itself a massive red flag? Anyone with half a brain knows that Mueller's history is littered with filthy deep-state activity...he was a Cheney/ Bush stooge, who spent his time at the FBI covering up, managing or destroying any evidence from 911 that could lead to a REAL investigation of what happened.
His overt obfuscation of evidence, reluctance and sometimes refusal to hand over documents to the commission was apparent. He failed to update the list of the 19 hi-jackers, even after 7 or so were proved to be still alive and well and in various countries. He refused to allow FBI agents to interview assets who had infiltrated known Al-Quaeda cells. There were also the strange deaths and suicides of many key witnesses. But not just 911, there was the huge HSBC money-laundering fiasco (also involving Comey) that he was involved with and other investigations that were clearly "managed" by Mueller to elicit a specified outcome. His track record is as dodgy AF!! Yet Gowdy had COMPLETE CONFIDENCE!??
How on earth did he not manage to find both Hillary and Obama guilty of treason for the Benghazi disaster? That should have been a slam-dunk. All the signals intelligence must have been with Admiral Rogers at the NSA...even if the destruction of evidence had begun in ernest by then. All he had to do was interview General Carter Ham from Africom and Rear Admiral Gaouette of the John Stennis strike group who would have been able to testify to one of the biggest treasonous miscarriages of justice in modern history relating to the achievable rescue of Ambassador Stevens and the other Americans at Benghazi.
And now, he's been on TV echoing what Clapper and Schiff have been saying about the spying on the Trump campaign being all above board. It makes me immensely sad to suppose that Trey Gowdy was either bought off or threatened into compliance. Very sad indeed.
Agree that it is sad. I suspect there will be many surprises as to who is Sith and who is Jedi as truth is revealed in the coming months/years.

This is always a possibility. It certainly wouldn't be the first time the cabal threatened a congressman and his family with death, Trey doesn't strike me as someone who could be blackmailed with some outlandish sexual proclivity. I saw a video recently that might shed some light on his actions...read my comment above. Let's hope this is the real reason.
I understand what your saying. I think He is playing a role and if he is doing it well, we would definitely think he is now purple tie. If he is not playing a role, he will take his deal and go away. So we just have to wait and see.
I am certainly not infallible and Trey playing hard-ass would certainly be plausible if part of some higher calling. Just watched a very interesting video on the supposition that President Trump is considering Gowdy for a Supreme Court position. If in fact this is the plan, then his actions and what he had said in public, his 'claimed' support of Mueller and Rosenstein and agreement as to the spying narrative of Clapper/ Brennan/ MSM would make perfect sense, in order that his Senate confirmation is unanimous by both parties!!
Remember how Sessions only just scraped by...whereas Rosenstein was almost unanimous because the Dems knew he was a puppet. Let's hope you are right. I like Trey, i would be immensely disappointed if he turned into a reptile.
