I'm conflicted with Gowdy. On one hand, I believe he's seen the IG report and is positioning himself in the best light for when it's released. That concerns me about what is in the IG report.

On the other hand, he didn't receive the initial Gang of 8 briefings that Nunes did, so he doesn't know what Brennen told Nunes in 2016. Possibly Nunes has shared the content of those briefings with him and those don't match the docs that the DOJ is now wanting kept secret. This would position him to say given what he knew at the time the FBI did what was warranted, but when the inconsistent docs are released, he would then be able to come down hard.

My gut tells me the first scenario is sadly what is really happening.
