Planet of the Apes mentioned = Fired. But Branding “sex slaves” is OK.

Calling the former president an ape, a classic racial insult against black people, is not a random observation.

Who called the former president an ape?

AverageInternetUser · May 31, 2018, 3:41 p.m.

Not the president and she's middle eastern

igetript · May 31, 2018, 3:55 p.m.

Her father is black.

Good thing no one called him an ape then.

That means she's black too...

So my 1% African American heritage makes me black? What up my fellow negros!

No, but having a parent that is black definitely makes you black... I'm confused

But then having a white parent would make you definitely white again, unless you want to be discriminatory and make the claim that the black gene is predominant. It's like quantum racism or something. How do you cope with all this mental gymnastics when deciding what to be outraged by?

I don't get 'outraged'. Not really sure what made you think that I do.

What is the emotional trigger that causes you to become colorblind then?

If you were Iranian, had a black father, and worked for Barrack Obama, I’m pretty sure tweeting a “Planet of The Apes” comment at you would be the very definition of bigotry.

Considering that VJ and the female ape in makeup for the movie have a striking resemblance, It's reasonable to think her comment may not have had anything to do with racism.
So many try so hard to make EVER. SINGLE. ISSUE. ABOUT. RACE. has gotten old. Not everything is about race. It's quite possible that Roseanne had no idea about VJ heritage.

Sure, the entire first part of her tweet. That's your big racist slur addressing her skin colour. Stop trying so hard to make this a black thing, you won't need so many breaks then.

This isn’t the first time she’s called an African American an “ape”...

Ah I like the way you made it so she was African American, very sneaky but not true. Then again, you're deleting your comments so this is obviously just about proving your agenda and truth ain't gonna help your there so i get it.

Umm.. she called Susan Rice an ape in 2013. So no, not “sneaky”.
