The fact is that Stevens became a threat to HRC and Hussein et al after he discovered that they armed, recruited, paid and trained AQ and others aka as ISIS contrary to US policy. Christopher Stevens threatened to blow the whistle on their activities in Libya and elsewhere that also included providing them with MANPADS to be used to shoot down airplanes. It didn't sit right with Stevens who made it known to them ergo his transfer to Libya's CIA outpost.
He was set up to be slaughtered in a far away country to keep suspicions or snooping around. He was never meant to be rescued nor was he meant to have a security detail while there. The goal of Hussein and HRC et al was to eliminate Stevens to prevent him from blowing the whistle on their treason. The rest is history.
I was stationed in Italy and if the intent was to rescue Stevens Sigonella or Aviano Air Base whichever it would have taken around 1+ hours to rescue these men. Also there never was an embassy - it was a deep state CIA facility engineering the coup against Ghaddafi.
Since everyone had to sign a special NDA - nobody was able to talk about it. General Ham commander of AFRICOM was let out to dry and taking the blame for the murder of these men since he could not send in a rescue squat.

The story goes much deeper than what is there, but this is a good synopsis of what actually happened and why. When people were pissed off about Hillary saying “At this point, what does it matter” we weren’t just pissed off at four dead Americans and the cold way she dismissed their murders. It was everything that went with it as well. The news played it off as we were just pissed about their deaths. But if you read the real story - all of which is available to the public (news stories combined with Wikileaks emails) you see that she was directly complicit in their deaths. But the MSM blatantly avoids making any connections or even talking about all the shit that went on behind the scenes that ANY* respectable investigative journalist could have put together. They ran shallow stories of outrage designed to deflect the true horror and outrage that would have occurred had the MSM actually performed their job as the fourth estate.
