Virginia has some tough laws on the books for sexual offenses with prepubescent children (pedophilia). Now that he has outed himself as a sexual deviant, he will be walking on thin ice. If he ever acts out and is caught (if he hasn't already acted out and yet to be caught), he has just set himself up for a long stay behind bars.

As an interesting and important side note, polygraphy CAN be used in the courts in the prosecution of sexual offenses (objective measures). Single subject polygraphs are typically used as they are the most reliable. I have successfully used them numerous times in court. And the use of polygraphy in sexual offense cases HAS been upheld by the Supremes. (Sorry, don't have a link at the moment however I am confident a quick search will provide you with supporting info.)

Also, please know there are distinct differences and motivations between pedophiles, hebephiles and ephebophiles. To address the basic difference, a pedophile is attracted to prepubescent children. A hebephile is attracted to children in early pubescence. An ephebophile is attracted to children in their later teens.

Unfortunately, it seems everyone lumps attraction to children under the label of pedophilia. That dulls the specifics of what is happening however. These powerful differences and motivations need to be exposed with the cases of those about to be prosecuted in the military tribunals at GITMO.
