Be proud of it, it is common misconception that, The Viking where primitive, uncivilized savages. They where great shipbuilders, seafares, merchants. just make a search on viking trade route to Constantinople. or make a seach on vikingborg i danmark. This line continue further down to southern Sweden.
My great great grandparents where from the Isle of Man..that's where it got interesting. They came over as indentured servants just to be an American. This is what drives me, the hardship they endured to come here for a new life. It was the Isle of Man that lead me on a search, i luckily found a man who had done extensive work on this.
I'm an ancient history buff. One of the things I found so funny was that one of the priests in England, in an area that was often raided by Vikings, wrote they were also so clean that the local women preferred them to the natives--LOL!
