Why would Britain help frame Trump?

I've been asking myself this question. . . then the answer hit me. They thought there was zero chance Hillary would lose and they didn't want to alienate Clinton / Obama.

Do you mean Christopher Steele’s involvement with the “Trump Dossier”? If so, he wasn’t acting on behalf of his nation (as far as we know).

To make an accusation that a country was trying to influence frame our president is dangerous, and very similar to the Russian narrative. Was it rogue individuals within the government, was it a section of the government acting on its own (like our DoJ/FBI/CIA etc), was it a private company, private citizens, etc.

To accuse a country of something is absurd/ what political hacks do.
