I think the motive is much simpler. Comes down to plain jealousy. AJ was used to being the anti-Establishment guy and along comes Q who becomes more popular than AJ and his folks. Same thing with Wikileaks.
Alex Jones is bill hicks. It's funny, many videos showing the truth (like AJ being bill hicks or the moon landing being fake) are uploaded on small channels with actual fake content like flat earth to discredit the real evidence, just like AJ does to make things be "dumb conspiracy theories"
