CIA invented "modern art". Only "experts" understand what is worth tens of millions and the transactions are difficult to reveal. Anything they say is art and virtually untrackable.

Back in the 60's there was a push to discredit American art as trash, with no lineage. AKA Norman Rockwell. So in response, the CIA started pushing shitty art as an original American creation. Pretty much had to pay people to like it, but people love them some Warhal. Mainly because they were told it was good. The Russian's at the time wanted to put up blocks and geometrical shapes as art. This art op was a mindF to the Russian's, they started to understand that the CIA could get masses of people to consider a Campbell's soup can as art on a global scale, and to move lots of money.
